Christmas Family Portraits-The Schlamps

I am so excited Christmas is coming! Christmas family portraits is one of my favorite sessions to do. I love the sweaters and coats, christmas decorations and the fallen leaves on the ground. The cold weather makes for intimate family photos since snuggling keeps everyone warm.

Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, I've had some time to upload some photos from one of my sessions. The Schlamps have been repeat clients of mine since before they got married. Here are a few of their photos.

Congrats on your wedding Wes and Tina

These are images from a wedding my husband and I attended as guests. It has been a while since I was able to go to a wedding and not be the photographer. The wedding was held at the Baton Rouge Contemporary Art Gallery. The bride and bridesmaids were beautiful in their cage veils and purple gowns. I LOVED the peacock feathers!

Fun with Vintage Photoshop Actions

I've been having a lot of fun playing with photoshop these past few days. Doing wedding photography on top of portraits had left me feeling overwhelmed with post processing. I was dreading looking at photos and I missed the times I spent creating my own actions and manipulating photos. Needless to say, this has been refreshing. :)

Mom

I was going through old photos I had taken while practicing with some shop lights and I found these. My mom is so great! I wanted to find some old hats from the 40's or so and we just so happened to find the pill box hat at a thrift store. The other white hat was modified by me, so please don't laugh. :)

She went to the heart doctor today and asked for prayer that she wouldn't have ANY blocked arteries in her leg because they couldn't find a pulse there.. So, if you think of her, please pray for her.

Here are the photos:
